This Sunday we celebrate The Holy Trinity. You will read about aspects of the Trinity in all the Bible lessons involved for this Sunday. You can read the texts via the link below.
The Doctrine of the Holy Trinity came about to help people theologically comprehend and explain how God (for Christians) can be three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit yet still be the only one true God. It sounds simple but also defies logic. And because it became a Doctrine, an absolute truth, such things as wars, schisms, and all sorts of terrible things happened and were done in the name of the triune God.
Instead of defining doctrine let’s look at this in another way. How do you experience God? If you pray, who do you usually pray to? God? Jesus? or Spirit? During your work or school day do you experience God or Jesus or Spirit or all Three mixed up together, inseparable and full of surprises? How do YOU experience God?
So, receiving/knowing God is also about following your heart and engaging in the life you live with God at your side, in every thing you do. So be awake and aware of God who is always with you and touches and lives with you and is full of surprises. Let the light of God’s Grace shine in everything you do. Let the light of the God’s real Forgiveness shine in everything you do. Let the light of God’s Love shine in everything you do. Blessings and peace be with you all in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Alleluia, Christ is Risen!
He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
See you in church,
