Transfiguration

This final Sunday of Epiphany, we are invited to glimpse the Transfiguration of Jesus as witnessed by Peter, John and James. Transfiguration, as defined by Merriam Webster, means to have “a change in form or appearance: metamorphosis” or “an exalting, glorifying, or spiritual change.” For three years the disciples have experienced Jesus as a man of remarkable wisdom with extraordinary healing power. As we journey with them to the mountain top, they and we are given a new and glorious glimpse of Jesus.
