Life Line Screening

Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, is pleased to offer a preventive health event at Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church on 7/19/2017. 

Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.

Pastor Kevin Martin's First Sunday!

Pastor Kevin Martin's first Sunday to worship with us will be Sunday, July 16.  We will be having ONE WORSHIP SERVICE at 10 am.  Please join us immediately following worship for a welcome reception for Pastor Kevin and his family. A catered lunch with soup, salads, and sandwiches will be provided.  A free-will offering will be accepted.

Preaching and Presiding- Rev. Debra Jiminez

Last Sunday, many PoP members were able to be a part of the ordination service for Debra Jimenez.  We are so proud of all that she has accomplished on her spiritual journey to beordained.  This Sunday, July 9, we feel both honored and blessed to be the first congregation to hear her preach and preside over worship as a newly ordained minister.

Mats for the Homeless

Plastic mats!  They are free to make and each mat keeps 500-700 plastic bags out of the landfill. The mats are lightweight, portable, dry easily, and each comes with a carry strap.  All ages are welcome to come and make mats! Contact Elleen Miller or Amber Nettles below if you have any questions

Prince of Peace, along with the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat, kicked off this years Habitat Build Saturday, April 1. We continue to build every Saturday 9am-3pm (with the exception of Memorial Day weekend).  The build will be completed by the end of June.

The build this year is at 6017 Kemp Drive, Acworth.  The home is being built for the Scheitlin family.  Angela will help build the home for her two children William (9 years) and Zoey (8 years) both with chronic health problems.

KNKT Youth Parent Meeting

All POP Youth/Parents, please mark your calendars for Sunday, April 30, Noon - 1:30 pm.  Lunch (something other than pizza) will be supplied.  We will meet at Harmony House.  It is critical that together, assess where we are with the youth program and gain your input around the programs/activities/resources that are important to your family.  We truly hope that all of you will participate in this meeting.

On Sunday, April 23, the youth are invited to join us as we go to the park to play ultimate Frisbee, eat breakfast, and worship! We will meet at the Harmony House at 9:15 am and return by Noon.
